Here we are leaving for the airport on Monday morning...everything was going so well....
We picked up lunch at Subway before we arrived at the airport 3 HOURS early for our 1:30 departure time (thanks in part to my grandma Jane who just HAS to be early in fear of missing the flight...OMG!)..things were looking good, until.....
OUT FLIGHT WAS CANCELED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AGHHHHHHHHHHHH
As you can see...we were devestated, to say the least. We, including the other 250 people on our flight, had to scramble and rebook another flight going out the same day hopefully. Fortunately we were finally able to book another flight...unfortunately it was not departing until 1:00a.m. the next morning. Ugh-what to do? We ended up checking our luggage 8 hours early and leaving the airport, getting chocolate malts at Johnny Rockets and went to see the move "The Proposal!" Very cute and very funny--it took our minds off our troubles, that's for sure!
Once we made it to D.C. we were able to see the one thing that I really was looking forward to seeing. The Holocaust Memorial Museum. It was amazing and sad at the same time. I am really glad that I was able to see it all!
On Thursday night we met up with the wedding party at a local Italian Restaurant for dinner.Posted by Princess Sarah at 8:37 AM 1 comments
