Washington D.C. Trip Con't...

Ok so I finally got more pictures of the trip!
Here we are leaving for the airport on Monday morning...everything was going so well....
We picked up lunch at Subway before we arrived at the airport 3 HOURS early for our 1:30 departure time (thanks in part to my grandma Jane who just HAS to be early in fear of missing the flight...OMG!)..things were looking good, until.....
OUT FLIGHT WAS CANCELED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AGHHHHHHHHHHHH
As you can see...we were devestated, to say the least. We, including the other 250 people on our flight, had to scramble and rebook another flight going out the same day hopefully. Fortunately we were finally able to book another flight...unfortunately it was not departing until 1:00a.m. the next morning. Ugh-what to do? We ended up checking our luggage 8 hours early and leaving the airport, getting chocolate malts at Johnny Rockets and went to see the move "The Proposal!" Very cute and very funny--it took our minds off our troubles, that's for sure!
Once we made it to D.C. we were able to see the one thing that I really was looking forward to seeing. The Holocaust Memorial Museum. It was amazing and sad at the same time. I am really glad that I was able to see it all!
On Thursday night we met up with the wedding party at a local Italian Restaurant for dinner.
(three sissies, Malia, Bekah, and Sarah)
My Parents, Jay & Carol. Kelly & Leland eating.
Then of course the WEDDING!

Such a poser!
The beautiful wedding party!

Some pictures from the wedding...

Trip to D.C. and Surgery

I have been M.I.A. the past few weeks....
My whole family took a trip out to Washington, D.C. to be at my brothers and his beautiful new bride Kelly's wedding on Friday, June 26th! (More pictures to come whenever I get them from my family, aunt...etc. (Hint, hint)
Some of the family flew out a few days early to do a little touring of the D.C. Monuments. My favorite part...(and will soon post a pic) was touring the Holocaust Memorial Museum.
One evening we went to eat a fun outdoor Bbq restaurant where they were about to play a movie on a big outdoor screen! It was nice to eat outside once the sun went down and it did not feel so humid!
(Aunt Nan, Grandma Jane, and my dad, Jay)
My brother Neil (the pest), me, and my mom, Carol)

On Tueday, March 30th I had my thyroidectomy surgery. As you can see, I look great! HA HA HA!
This is one of my greatest friends in San Diego who came to visit me.
Thanks for everything, Katherine! I love the cards and the flowers...AND the quiznos sandwich for lunch the next day! You're the best!!!
