O.C. Beach House AGAIN!

NEWPORT RULES!!!!!!!

I LoVe Traditions! John and I spent this past week at the beach house with all of Johns fabulous cousins! John spent the majority of his days out in the water on his body board! (more pics of that coming soon!) I, on the other hand, spent the majority of my time sun-bathing, reading, watching John on his board, riding the beach cruisers up and down Newport, but most of all EATING! Johns aunts and uncles sure know how to cook! I think I gained 10 much needed lbs. that week! To add to the the lbs, I thought it would be a fun idea to make a "beach flip-flop" cake for all the summer birhdays in the family (and there are a lot!)!! I saw a picture of a cake like this online and wanted to give it a shot myself! It was so much fun to make thanks to John and his professional piping skills!

Our little Leia got to spend the week with my parents and with her favorite aunty bekah and uncle ryan. They all sent me updates and pics of how she was doing for her first week away from mommy and daddy! HA HA!! My dad sent me this pic as soon as she arrived at their house. She made herself right at home!! Bekah sent me this pic with this message "Hi mommy! I am having fun at my aunty and uncles house! I love to go on walks here and see the deer!" Big thanks to my puppy-sitters! XOXO!

Marina del Rey

...Just another day at the beach!!

On Wednesday, August 4th, my mom, my sister Malia, and I decided to meet half way at one of my favorite beach spots in Marina del Rey! The day turned out to be beautiful and we spent it relaxing and soaking up the sun before Malia headed back to Utah at the end of the week. :(

That evening we left the beach, did some shopping (and sample tasting) at Costco and then had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory on the water! Thanks mom & MiMi--I had so much
