I <3 Sunsets!

Ok, so these are not the best photos of a sunset (yes John, I know), but this is what I saw when I stepped out on my balcony this evening!
(To be completely honest...I only went out on the balcony to stare down my neighbors and their kids who were making a TON of loud noises in the courtyard and I couldn't hear my Ellen show that I was watching..so there, I confessed!)

Excuses: #1. I am on Prednisone (steroids)
and I have (as my sister Bekah refers to it)..."ROID RAGE!!!")
#2. They are REALLY loud all of the time and....well they are just loud...enough said. UGH

Camping at Sycamore Cove!

This past Labor Day weekend my sister Bekah & her hubby Ryan went camping at Sycamore Cove with us! I had made reservations six months ago & we have been counting down ever since! (well at least Bekah and I had been...John and Ryan ended up being the most "H-M" (high-maintenance) campers...EVER! (GRRRRRRR!!)
Here are Ryan and John putting up our clothes line so we could hang out our beach towels at the end of a day!
(how many guys does it take to hang a clothes line...?)
This is what I did while they were working on the clothes line!
Hey I am contributing...I'm calling for re-enforcements...okay?!
My parents and neice Tasia showed up one night for dinner.
Roasting wieners over the fire! YUM!
There were a lot of "hot dog" jokes being thrown around thanks to my mom & her "not so" clean mind...ha ha ha!
After dinner, Ryan challenged John to see if he could stuff one whole ding dong in his mouth...of course John did it! Big Mouth!!
The next morning John was given yet another "challenge" by Ryan.
The conditions: Run (no walking and no stopping) all the way up the huge sand hill that was around the corner from our campsite on PCH.
John stretching and getting pumped up for the long grind up the hill....
While waiting for John to reach the top, Bekah attempted to run up 1/4 of the way, but she wimped out half way up to the rock & sat down with her head between her knees.
Oh Bekah!!!!
John eventaully made it to the top (with more than a few brakes along the way) but he did it-sort of!!
You can barely see him at the top with his arms up!
Go Rocky...I could almost hear the music!
After the sand hill run, we headed back to camp to make our breakfast....blueberry pancakes. John was in charge of this meal and he was fine until he threw what Bekah and I now like to call his "pancake stabbing tantrum" because I was "rushing" him. HA!
They were extra delicious--but everything tastes extra good when camping-right?! Here is a shot of one of the yummy pancakes! :)
Johns mom Sandi, and our nieces Alyssa & Amber arrived Sunday morning to spend the rest of the day with us! This was the girls first time camping & sleeping in a tent! How exciting for them! It was a blast having them around the campfire. We were all inducted into their self invented club "the Eskimo club" that night! It was hilarious...!
That night we grilled hamburgers and then roasted s'mores for dessert!
Roasting s'mores!
Amber enjoying hers for SURE!! What a cutey!

Interesting Quote!

Dr. Roboli a nuerosurgeon trained at Harvard, now President of the Federation of Medical Specialists at Quebec, Canada said:
"I have no axe to grind, but let me say one thing loud and clear, America has the best medical care in the world. In your haste to copy our Canadian system, do not bring American medicine down to the canadian level, for now we look up to you."
